How We Work
From initial inquiry to production and shipment, we help brands understand each stage of the haircare OEM/ODM process.
Modern Lab focuses on shampoo, conditioner, scalp care, styling care and hair repair products. We evaluate each project based on product category, formula conditions, packaging format, label requirements, documentation needs and production planning.

01 Inquery
We first review your product type, current project stage, target market, estimated quantity, packaging direction and expected launch timeline.
If available, you can also provide reference samples, formula information or product specifications.
This step helps us understand whether the project is suitable for further evaluation and clarify the product, packaging, documentation and production details that may need to be discussed.
02 Product Evaluation
Based on your product direction, reference sample, texture, fragrance, usage experience, formula conditions and packaging needs, we evaluate possible development or production directions.
If the product is still at the concept stage, we can discuss the desired cleansing feel, treatment effect, freshness, fragrance direction or usage scenario.
If you already have a sample or specification, we can further evaluate production feasibility.

03 Sampling/Sample Review
Based on the confirmed product direction, we proceed with sampling, sample review or evaluation of your existing sample.
This stage may include discussion of product appearance, texture, fragrance, usage experience and possible adjustment directions.
If your product already has a clear formula or sample, we will also review whether it is ready for packaging, labeling, documentation and production condition evaluation.
04 Quotation Confirmation
Once the product direction, sample conditions, packaging format, label versions, estimated quantity and documentation needs are clearer, we will evaluate the quotation and related project conditions.
At this stage, we may confirm product specifications, capacity, packaging and label requirements, additional documentation or overseas market needs, estimated production quantity, lead time and payment terms.
These details provide the basis for production scheduling and project confirmation.

05 Manufacturing
After product conditions, quotation, packaging, labels and related documentation arrangements are confirmed, production can be scheduled.
Manufacturing is carried out according to ISO 22716 / GMP-based processes, with production and quality control arranged according to product characteristics and manufacturing requirements.
06 Packaging & Shipment
After manufacturing and final confirmation, products are packed and shipped according to packaging method, label versions, shipment requirements and logistics arrangements.
For multi-channel packaging, different label versions, overseas markets or special shipment needs, arrangements will be confirmed based on actual project conditions.

What Affects Pricing, Timeline and Project Planning?
OEM/ODM pricing and timelines vary depending on product conditions, development scope, packaging format, label versions, documentation needs, estimated quantity and current production capacity.
For a more accurate initial evaluation, we recommend sharing your product type, target market, estimated quantity, packaging direction and expected launch timeline.
Common factors include:

Process Notes
-
Does every project follow the same process?
The actual process may vary depending on product type, packaging conditions, documentation needs and cooperation model.
Most projects will still go through inquiry, product evaluation, sampling or sample review, condition confirmation, manufacturing and shipment.
-
Are sampling and production timelines fixed?
No. Timelines depend on product complexity, adjustment scope, packaging lead time, documentation needs and current production capacity.
If you have a target launch date, we recommend sharing it during the initial inquiry.
-
Can I inquire even if my requirements are not complete?
Yes. If you only have a product idea, reference sample or initial direction, you can still share your product type, target market and estimated quantity.
We will review the available information and suggest the most suitable next step.
